TIMCON Associates Concludes Road Safety Audit Capacity Building Programme
TIMCON Associates concluded its Road Safety Audit (RSA) Capacity Building Programme, undertaken as part of the 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐲 𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐑𝐨𝐚𝐝 𝐒𝐚𝐟𝐞𝐭𝐲 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐒𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐊𝐞𝐲 𝐑𝐨𝐚𝐝𝐬 𝐚𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐊𝐞𝐍𝐇𝐀 𝐍𝐞𝐭𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐂𝐚𝐩𝐚𝐜𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐁𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐨𝐧 𝐑𝐨𝐚𝐝 𝐒𝐚𝐟𝐞𝐭𝐲 𝐢𝐧 𝐊𝐞𝐍𝐇𝐀. The final training session was held at the Kenya National Highways Authority Headquarters in Nairobi on Monday and Tuesday.
The session brought together KeNHA staff from Headquarters, the Nairobi Regional Office, and Corridor C Management Office, providing an opportunity for participants from different levels of the organisation to strengthen their road safety knowledge.
The two-day programme covered key areas including the Safe System Approach, vulnerable road users, safety design considerations, work zone safety and Traffic Management Plans, road safety management, countermeasure development and cost-benefit analysis, Road Safety Audits, and iRAP methodologies.
Following successful sessions in the Lower Eastern (Machakos), Central Region (Nyeri), Upper Eastern (Isiolo), North Rift Region (Nakuru), North Eastern (Garissa), North Rift Region (Eldoret), Coast Region (Mombasa), Nyanza Region (Kisumu), and Western Region (Kakamega), the Headquarters training marks the culmination of the RSA Capacity Building Programme.
