The Study involved route selection and design of a bypass road (30 km) around the Town of Eldoret in western Kenya.
TIMCON’s responsibilities included traffic engineering and transportation planning involving strategic modelling using TRANSCAD to assess future traffic volumes and micro-simulation modelling for more detailed operations and the need for interchanges and their configurations.
A southern Bypass route from Ngeria to Leseru was selected and interchanges designed at three locations.
