TIMCON was retained to undertake a pedestrian modelling to support the design of the proposed Caledonia GO Station on the Barrie GO corridor at the crossing of Eglinton Avenue within the City of Toronto. The proposed station will facilitate direct connection between the Barrie GO corridor and the future Eglinton-Crosstown LRT (ECLRT). Pedestrian movement at the station were modelled to replicate peak periods of train arrivals, and adequacy of the platforms, tunnels, staircases and elevators were assessed and confirmed.
