TIMCON was retained to undertake pedestrian modelling to support the design of the proposed Caledonia GO Station on the Barrie GO corridor at the crossing of Eglinton Avenue in the City of Toronto. The proposed station was intended to provide a direct connection between the Barrie GO corridor and the future Eglinton-Crosstown LRT (ECLRT). Pedestrian movements at the station were modelled to replicate peak train arrival periods, and the adequacy of the platforms, tunnels, staircases, and elevators was assessed and confirmed.
