TIMCON Associates is proud to share that our Director, Dr. Timothy Oketch, P. Eng. , is leading a team of consultants undertaking Road Safety Audits for selected road projects in northern 𝐌𝐨𝐳𝐚𝐦𝐛𝐢𝐪𝐮𝐞 under the Climate Resilient Roads for the North (𝐂𝐑𝐑𝐍) and Transport Corridors for Economic Resilience (𝐓𝐑𝐀𝐂𝐄𝐑) projects.
The assignment, commissioned by the Road National Administration-ANE (ANE, IP) with financing from the 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝 𝐁𝐚𝐧𝐤, covers 226.26 km of roads across Cabo Delgado, Nampula and Niassa Provinces.
The roads include:
🛣️ R760: Muxara–Mecufi – 47 km
🛣️ R762: Muepane–Metugi – 25 km
🛣️ N14: Metoro–Montepuez – 30 km
🛣️ R696: Rapale–Mecuburi – 57.26 km
🛣️ N360: Cuamba–Metarica – 67 km
The Road Safety Audits will be undertaken at key stages of project development, from Concept Design and Detailed Design to Pre-Opening, with the objective of identifying potential safety risks early and recommending practical measures to create safer, more forgiving road environments.
The assignment places particular emphasis on the safety of vulnerable road users and on ensuring that road infrastructure accommodates human error while supporting the safe and efficient movement of people and goods.
