This study involved transportation planning and traffic operations assessment of the Oakville Midtown area to establish the incremental network requirements to support the expected levels of development in the near term with an ultimate build out of 2021. The analysis examined existing conditions, future “do nothing” conditions and eight future year alternative scenarios obtained from four network options each with two land-use scenarios. The analysis showed that the full range of improvements will be needed to accommodate future traffic demands and maintain traffic operations to levels comparable to existing ones.
