TIMCON Principal Dr Timothy Oketch made a presentation at the Canadian Institute of Traffic Engineers conference held in June 2016 in Kelowna, British Columbia, Canada. The presentation was entitled “Traffic Planning for the PanAM Games at York University Athletics Venue” and covers the micro-simulation modelling undertaken for for the network around York University in Toronto as part of the Pan Am / Parapan Games held in the Greater Toronto Area in July 2015.
The much anticipated PanAM Games was held successfully in July and August 2015 in the Greater Toronto Area. The modelling analysis undertaken by TIMCON and partners was instrumental in determining the necessary traffic management measures and interventions that successfully guided the traffic movements and operations around the games venues all over the GTA.
TIMCON Principal Dr. Timothy Oketch made a presentation entitled “Calibrating traffic streams with Motorcycles” at the Canadian Institute for Transportation Engineering (CITE) Annual Conference in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada, June 2015. The paper developed an approach for estimating passenger car equivalencies for motorcycles using micro-simulation modelling.
TIMCON branch in Kenya successfully transitioned into new offices in October 2015. The offices are located on Komo Lane off Wood Avenue in Kilimani Area, Nairobi and office a spacious environment for working and for holding meetings and conferences.
